W.O.R.D. Club sign ups and discussions!

Welcome to the Wizards' Organisation Regarding Debating sign ups! This is a Club for PFF members to debate about Wizarding topics! 
Each person who signs up here will be put into house teams, you'll be able to pick a name for yourselves too held (these teams may be re-arranged if there is a lack of members!) in your common-room or another meeting place where you think it is safe to talk freely, discuss the topic given at that week! There will be decided times for each debate to be taken place against the teams!
If you sign up, without having a good reason, you can't leave the club! There will be a set time for a debate- you have a week to put in all your arguments ~ so forth ~ and then with a one day warning the topic will be closed and all posts will be judged by the adjudicators! The first speaker has to start the topic from the agreeing side! Make sure you post who is which speaker in the club thread when the team has been made! This club is sure to be exciting and I will love to see you on the team and having your arguments ready

NOTICE: Places for Adjudicators are open! We need 3-5 adjudicators and any other debaters be happy to pm me about anything wrong with the rules and please help me out if you can thank you! Make sure you name your team and pick what speaker is each team...

Would a link to this page of the random chatter thread help, as that page, and the page after, have a fair few ideas for these floating around.

Is it worth having a look to see if someone could do some sort of W.O.R.D graphics?

I'm also happy to put my name forward for adjudicator. I'd like to think I can critical evaluate arguments fairly well.

Oh, and if you want any help with the organising and layout of the main posts for the thread then I'm happy to help with this too. Layouts are fun. =D

I'd say when there's a full W.O.R.D thread to credit Ash_Midnight for the name.

If you sign up, without having a good reason, you can't leave the club! If you are not online at the time of set debate, it will be held back one hour but after the hour whoever is offline is offline and the debate will not be delayed (unless no or 1 team member in a team against a full team!)

I'd worry about this. It can be hard to be online at a certain time, particularly considering the fact that users are all around the globe. May I suggest an alternative way? Debate topics are released to the two teams at a certain point, and then the teams have x amount of dates to put together an argument (like I said before I'd suggest discussing it in common rooms ;])and submitting this argument to the adjudicator in charge of the round [I'd suggested teams electing someone at the start of the debate to do this]. Once this deadline is reached [or both teams have submitted if that's earlier], then the adjudicator will post both arguments to the actual debate thread. All members of the house team [I'd say regardless of whether they're official members, as not to exclude anyone] can then add points to the thread, and counter act the other team. When there is a day left the adjudicator in charge will post so, and then when times up they'll post that too. Any arguments after that would be invalid [so it'd be wide to have a team summing up]. Then it'd get evaluated by the adjudicators. This way it doesn't matter if you can't get on at a specific time. I'd just worry that specific times would exclude people. Sorry I went on a bit here. ^.^;;

Is it worth having some sort of indication on the members list of what house they're in? Maybe, when there's more members, separating it into house groups?
